We accept almost all insurance, however you will not find us on any preferred provider lists. We can help you determine if you can go out-of-network for the insurance to be accepted.

How does orthodontic insurance work?

There is a wide variety of agreements between insurance carriers and their subscribers, and each contract provides a different benefits for orthodontics. However, orthodontic insurance generally differs from regular dental insurance in that each insured individual usually has a lifetime maximum benefit for orthodontic services. Customarily, this benefit is paid as a percentage of the orthodontic fee (diagnostic records, initial fee, monthly payments, etc.) until the benefit maximum has been reached.

How does this office assist you with insurance?

We are more than happy to review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action and make sure your benefits are maximized. For your convenience, we will submit both predetermination and initial insurance claims pertaining to charges for care rendered in our office. We also can provide documentation for flex spending accounts.


The cost of orthodontic treatment can vary widely, depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. Once your treatment needs are assessed, our doctors and staff will discuss with you the total cost, and your available payment plan options, so that you are able to make the choice that works best for you and your smile. We are more than happy to work with you to create a payment plan that fits within your budget.

Our practice accepts most major credit cards as payment.


We schedule our longer procedures in the morning and early afternoon, making it possible to schedule the majority of your adjustments in the afternoon after school hours.

How long should you allow for the various types of appointments at our office:

  • Initial examination: 60 minutes
  • The records process: 20 minutes
  • Consultation: 40 minutes
  • Bonding of the braces: 90 minutes
  • Adjustment appointments: 10 to 25 minutes

Running Behind Schedule?

If you are less than 10 minutes late, we will typically be able to keep your appointment. Anything over that is evaluated by checking our schedule to see if we can still accommodate you. We want to be fair to our on-time patients; however, we will make every effort to see you.

Need to Reschedule?

Please call our office as far in advance as possible. We will make every attempt to schedule the next available appointment time for you.
